Peter Law

19 years old

I grew up in Stirling and then moved the great distance to Edinburgh to go to University.

Started shooting at school when I was 14, realising it was a less tiring and dangerous sport than rugby.  From here I managed to get selected to tour South Africa with the GB U19s, and Canada with the Athelings.

I noted then that shooting was also a far better option for getting to see the world.

Notable achievements are few, but I won the Young Rifleman's Aggregate without realising what it was, and made it to the Queen's Final last year, coming a very respectable 92nd, thanks to a windy day and a few who didn't turn up.

I'm currently in my second year of a History degree and when not shooting or working, I attempt to play the guitar.

Best day's shooting: Probably shooting a lucky 105 in Queens I.  I realised that my careful wind coaching was having an adverse effect on my shooting, so I didn't change my windage once.

Worst day's shooting:  Loosing the U 19 International in South Africa. It was shot over 3 distances and eventually we lost by 1 point, with an equal V-bull count.  I got sunburnt as well.
